accomplishment

a quiet moment of unsolicited bliss
in the flash crinkle of a crooked grin
curving towards a dimpled cheek
whisked away suddenly
stoicism and cynicism returned
but not before I saw
and noted
and was gratified
in the knowing that it was mine
