in a world of prepackaged
individually wrapped
manufactured mirth
our jumble-sale joy
was a glorious hodgepodge
handmade bargain basement mess
mixed w/ just a soupรงon of sadness
a natural experience
that made it worth more, not less
we were never designer
nor designed to be
for which I liked us all the better
we were simply
