swift it came more swift departed
left with nothing, brokenhearted
sudden affection overwhelmed more
than any emotion had before
bemused when it came
bewildered when gone
self so confused, hard to go on
cavalier and disdainful
everything since a little more painful
but it's saved me some hurt, i suppose
who notices the knife when the cannon blows
